Coming back from Belle Glade on 8/16 I spotted 2 White-tailed Kites at first low kettling with Turkey Vultures and then one landed on a dead tree on the south side of the canal. We had excellent looks at the bird. The birds were located about half way down the road to the new Campbell Park. I tried to measure mileage, but they had left on on return back. This area is a good place to look in that they have also been seen on Government Road in the first 10-14 miles and I have also seen them south of I-75 on US 27. Beautiful.
The Holey Lands and the new Campbell Park are on the Broward/Palm Beach County line turning west off US 27. Look for the brown sign.
