Philip and I braved the rain squalls yesterday to look for shorebirds, we also found the Horned Lark again. The bird was soaked but seemed to be ok otherwise as it feed near us. We had 13-species of shorebird with the best being Upland Sandpipers and the lone Buff-breasted.
The Horned Lark seems to be found much easier in the late afternoon (after 3:00p.m.). It was seen in the exact same spot as usual.
Here is a photo of a Semipalmated Sandpiper from yesterday.
