I went birding again to find the Cooper's Hawks.
I found the baby and one adult. I also discovered a white-eyed parakeet and 3 red-masked parakeets. The white-eye is a first for Morningside. Prairie Warblers were singing like crazy in the mangroves. Green Herons and Night Herons took advantage of the low tide. Spot-breasted Orioles and Frigatebirds were present too. I stayed around until 9:00 playing basketball with some friends, and watched the Night Herons stalk the fields for crabs. I also possibly saw a Screech Owl. I also heard redstarts.
