Braving 20 mph wind gusts (facetious) I ventured out to Black Point and found one adult breeding-plumaged Common Tern, three Least Terns - one reaching its first-year plumage and two that looked to be nonbreeding adults (little early?), several Ruddy Turnstones, one Sanderling, two fly-by Black-bellied Plovers, and a ton of Spotted Sandpipers*.

*This last is a bit of an exaggeration. Given that a Spotted Sandpiper weighs in at about an ounce and a half, a ton (2,000 lbs, 16 ounces in a pound, therefore 32,000 ounces) would imply I saw 21,333 Spotted Sandpipers, which was not the case - the actual number was closer to two dozen.

There were also numerous Barn Swallows. Being a veteran of multiple hurricanes, I am grateful Fay is what it is.
