The park actually has some good birds, since it is right on the bay. Today I found the following:

Northern Waterthrush
2 Prairie Warbler
2 American Redstart
A couple Yellow-crowned Night Herons
Green Heron
Great Egret
Cattle Egret
White Ibis
Cooper's Hawk
Osprey
Frigatebird
Pelican
Cormorant
Fish Crow
Chimney Swift

Calling Mangrove Cuckoo. This has been the 4th year in a row they have been here. It seems weird that they would be here.

There are of course many other birds I saw, but those were more notable. Chestnut-fronted Macaws, Blue-crowned Parakeets are usually here. Orange-winged Parrots are almost guaranteed, and I know where they are nesting. Near my house is a Masked Lovebird.

If you come, I will give you Morningside Park's Bird checklist. I compiled it over a couple years.
