Please replace 224 STREET with 224 AVENUE. My mistake... The intersection is SW 384 St and SW 224 Av.
A very nice molting adult Buff-breasted Sandpiper was seen near Horned Lark vicinity. The sandpiper was on freshly plowed fields west of agricultural road SW 224 St., near the corner where it intersects with SW 384 St. (Horned Lark & Baird s road).
The fields were being plowed at around noon, attracting many swallows (Barn, Cave, Cliff), and a large group of mixed shorebirds, including plenty Killdeer, Black-bellied Plovers, and Pectoral Sandpipers. The Buff-breasted was in association with Pectorals. The bird wore fresh non-breeding scapulars contrasting very nicely with rusty worn coverts. It came very close to SW 224 St., for great looks, just 25 yards south of 384 St.

Mid-morning I went to check out the Horned Lark. Carl Edwards was already there and saw it flying south-east towards corner of 9336 and corner with 217 Av. We relocated the bird there about 100 or so yards from 217- It stayed there until about 11:30 AM. Such a nice bird!
