This past Sunday we went looking for Upland Sandpipers around the King Ranch area. No Uplands, but, quite a few Pectoral Sandpipers, Black Terns, Fulvous Whistling Ducks, and thousands of Red Wing Blackbirds. Also saw quite a few King Rails along the edge of HWY 27, some with babies. Bobwhites were calling around the cypress trees where the Barn Owls usually are, but, we did not locate any owls this trip.
