On a lark, I tried for Larry's great bird this afternoon (8/11). It took a while to find it, as it's the same color as the dirt. It stayed in the field southeast of Larry's marker for an hour, then flew to yesterday's original spot. It gave 6 thin, weak "see" calls as it flew. Thanks, Larry!
Later, on Aerojet Road between Lucky Hammock and the Annex, I spotted a Lark Sparrow on the wires. It was in molt and a bit scruffy.
