Down here in the Kendall area of Miami, I'm seeing them more than ever and in larger numbers. Just two weeks ago, I counted over twenty mockingbirds feeding on recently mowed grass.
In Chekika, last week, I counted nearly forty mockingbirds along the road. They outnumbered even the Red-winged Blackbirds and Boat-tailed Grackles.
