We had a fever for Uppies and the only prescription for it was Upland Sandpiper! Sometime this afternoon we got a call from Toe with directions to our fever remedy, it was just past 217 Ave down a dirt road. Just passed the water tower we spotted two UPLAND SANDPIPER, and some other shorebirds. We scanned the fields for more but that is all there was. While watching some of the Black-bellied Plover that were present one of the Upland flew right over our car giving us great views of this fantastic shorebird. Thank you Toe for the fix!
Our fever was satisfied and with that we headed home before the skies would open up over us and drop all that water. When we arrived home we celebrated with an Avery Fourteen, it is a quirky brew, very dark, different dry hopped Ale. Peace to all and follow your dreams.

Some other birds that were seen this afternoon were:

Black-bellied Plover
Killdeer
Black-necked Stilt
Spotted Sandpiper
Upland Sandpiper 2
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Common Nighthawk
Gray Kingbird
Loggerhead Shrike
Barn Swallow
Common Myna
Boat-tailed Grackle

Nature is Awesome
