A really hot morning, but found 6 Roseate Spoonbills and HUNDREDS of Egrets (mix of Common and Snowy) piled up on top of each other along the banks of the Green Cay lakes. I really do wonder why they have these congregations when they are not actively feeding (?) On the tree islands was a gorgeous Yellow-throated warbler, and the C. Nighthawk is still hanging in the parking lot. PB Grebes have stayed all summer, Least Bitterns are flying (but not as many as seen at Wako) and the Limpkins still have two broods to see. Not bad for a summer day ;)
