After work today we decided to swing by Barnes to bird. It was quiet and there were the usual cats laying around. One was lying by the fountain relaxing and it was discouraging to see more kittens on the drive out. It seems like the cat network has stuck a deal with the park before the public could talk.

We started from the nature center and continued on our way down the trail towards the boardwalk where we encountered a small group of 5 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, a Black-and-white Warbler and our FOTS Red-eyed Vireo which was awesome! We got great views as the Vireo Ojo-rojo foraged the trees. We always love seeing REVI. Since it was rather quiet after the flock moved on and we were both hungry we left home to make dinner.

Nature is Awesome
