Over the last 12 months I have grown accustomed to the white winged dove eating sunflower seeds. They stack up on the feeder and ignore millet but just go for sunflower seeds...that they break open. Okay, they are sort of soft. Now here is the news; in the last 30 days they have begun eating peanuts in the shell. They peck at them just like blue jays until they get their beaks inside then they pop them open. I have never seen this before.
What next?Cuttlebones?
