Hi Robin, Larry, and Toe -
Thanks for your advice! I think I have to balance the best birding with the best island experience... perhaps the later the better to get maybe at least one or two cold fronts so the poor students do not wind up hating birding due to mosquitos... so I think I will choose the second weekend in October!
