You can read in many places that much of our junk mail comes from the boreal forest in Canada. The best way to help is to recycle as much as you can, and minimize your consumption of paper products. Most paper recycling companies now take all forms of paper including magazines, cardboard, paperboard, and envelopes with plastic windows, so it is not hard to do.
