There was no mention of the bird being unable to fly. It is eating snails and will probably fly away when the food source disappears.
Many birds survuve in the wild with foot injuries oe even without a foot or leg.
You need to consider that it would be a hardship for any rehabber to have to collect enough snails to feed this bird in captivity and therefore its probability of survival at a facility would be lessened.
As long as the bird is capable of flight and is eating on its own, I see no reason to do anything more than than leave it alone.
