My daughter, Beth Rose, spotted a Black Skimmer on the west lake in front of Baptist Hospital at aprox 10:00 PM this evening. My wife and I went back to the lake with her (we live just across Kendall Drive) and watched TWO Black Skimmers from 10:30 to 11:00 PM. We were able to get very good looks at the two birds by sitting on the outside of the pavilion located on the south east corner of the west lake so that the lights of the pavilion shone out over the water. We were able to see them skimming right in front of us.
