Eight of us searched all the known locations in the area where this bird was seen yesterday without luck. What bugged me was the fact that I didn't see it land, but I lost sight of it behind a tree line. I had assumed it went inside the landfill complex, but we went in there this morning and didn't see it, nor any of the other shorebirds I saw in there yesterday. I did see it in the afternoon, so maybe the time of day is a factor. I'll be busy this afternoon, but Trey might make the rounds again. If it's any consolation, I can definitely rule out Black-tailed. Still, I really wanted to relocate this bird. RATS!!!!
