We saw a pair near the new Visitor Center at Fairchild Gardens last Saturday during the TAS Birdwalk. I have not seen the pair that was trying to nest on US1 near the UM Metrorail
Station recently. CG cut down the dead Royal Palm
they were trying to nest in. I used to see them
along the short stretch of canal that is across from the Lowe Museum and next to the Student Union. Their call is absolutely distinctive.
Recently while David Lysinger and I were doing
a tour of the Doc Thomas grounds two flew in and landed near the old shed next to the Kapok tree
behind the house. Where they roost I do not know.
Good luck. The old Parrot Jungle property on Red Road(now a City of Pinecrest Park) would be a good place to start.

: Those are some great birds there. I have not seen the Blue and Gold Macaws yet. Do you know where they roost or where they hang out? It would be a good addition to my Exotics List. Thanks
