Nice Pictures! I had the opportunity to swing by there today about 8:30 am and by 8:45 heard him singing about 300 m west of the western ball field. I observed for about 2-3 minutes before he flew north into the woods. I followed and observed him again briefly in the hiking trails before he took flight again. On the way back to the truck, I heard his familiar voice at the northern edge of the park (chain basket # 18) where one of the frizbee baskets(?) are located. There, he was accompanyed by a Blue-
Gray Gnatcatcher, and offered me an excellent close-up view of his preening behavior for quite some time. The Gnatcatcher got very close...about 8" at one time from the Chickadee and stayed close by the entire time I observed them. I was suprised to see the BG Gnatcatcher so soon. I guess there will be lots more next month.
