sorry for the late reply but I have not had a chance to browse the board until now (y'all can always call me). I looked at my Marsh Wren observations outside of the WCA's and ENP and all were made in February. That said, I lost data pertaining to observations I did in those areas while I was working there regularly (no big deal until a question like this pops up).
We did our sampling in the months of Feb, Apr, Jul, Oct, Dec, each sampling lasting almost a month...in other words, we were out there quite a bit. Unfortunately, I can't say for certain I saw them in July. If I did, I wouldn't have thought much of it since there are Marsh Wrens that reside year-round along the panhandle to north-central Florida.
What would really surprise me was seeing American Bitterns in every one of those months, with the greatest numbers in February of course. Go figure.
