The Painted Bunting was back today, so at least it's not a one day wonder. We'll see if it sticks around. At noon there were 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Semipalmated Plover, and 5 Least Sandpipers at Cutler Wetlands. A Least Bittern flew over the southern portion briefly. There are some nice mud banks forming on the north side, so let's hope these freaking monsoons don't ruin it in the next couple of weeks. Time to dust off the scopes: shorebird migration starts tomorrow!
Beer of choice today is Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale, and I'll add some musical accompaniment - Tangerine Dream's Coldwater Canyon. What a jam!!
