I arrived at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park just after 7:00 AM and parked in the ball field parking area across from the hammock trailhead. I heard the Carolina Chickadee singing as soon as I exited my car, and quickly located it in one of the small trees in the parking lot. By the time Bill Boeringer arrived (about 7:30 AM), the bird had moved all the way to the oak grove near the southwest corner of the park. The chickadee was soon joined by a FOS Yellow-throated Warbler. Bill and I followed both birds until they flew west, out of the park, into the adjacent indigent cemetery. After Bill left, I took a walk through the cemetery, then through the hammock, but failed to relocate the chickadee. Other than the usual suspects, the only birds seen were Cooper's Hawk, White-crowned Pigeon and Purple Martin.
