Following Brian's lead I had 4 White-tailed Kites at Chekika this morning. They were all together, probably a family. They were seen on SW 168th St, just inside the ENP sign, about two miles east of the T intersection. Occasionally they perch on the dead snags in the area. Also of note was a pair of Yellow-billed Cuckoos carrying food. Closer to Krome, at the Acosta Farms was a male Red-eyed (Bronzed) Cowbird doing his fluttery display flight for a female. Just what we need...more breeding cowbirds.
