Well, happy to report that I and assorted enviro-campers and Gumbo Limbo people did successfully find the Snail Kites and nests at ARM/Lox today - thanks Paul-the-Other for great directions! There were a minimum 6 SK flying around near the blind off Marsh Trail, making a wonderful sound. All for a few liters of sweat.
I second Eva's observation about Green Cay - always birds of interest. We also hit Wako today, being real masochists, and there was one Roseate Spoonbill and many many Least Bittern to be seen midday!
