June 28-29 we knew someone staying there, so we went looking for the Bahama Mocker, no luck, but did see an unusual Brown Thrasher somewhere in the area. Both Mitred and Blue-fronted parakeets feeding from the sea grapes at Gardiner's Market in the "Fishing Village". On the Hammock trails, we ran into Janet Reno and her sister, who were braving the humidity and hordes of mosquitoes.
We stopped twice at the Alper Jewish Center in Kendall looking for Hill Myna, but no luck.
