The trip was Amazing, thanks to Captain Teo for providing an incredible deep sea, wave riding adventure. The day started with the usual morning dock jokes and loading the boat. While getting ready to lower the boat in the water we had two Common Ground-Dove fly over us which kicked off the birding. We launched the boat with a great cast of mariners, we slowly made it out of the marina looking at the Frigatebirds which were just getting up and taking thier morning flight. Other birds on the roost were moving around as well. We set off through Bear Cut in route to our first pauze Fowey Lighthouse, we had our only two Brown Booby of the day just before reaching the Fowey. They must have taken off earlier this morning than usual since they are usually seen on Fowey, just a couple of Royal Tern and DC Cormorants were present. Next was onward towards the deep where we hoped to find a decent weedline closer to shore but no luck. We had to travel way out but it was well worth it, with 10 Pelagic Species. The birds were not there in quantity but the quality of the birds more than made up for that. A Pomarine Jaeger put on a awesome display as several Terns harassed it, that bird is amazing. Three Storm-Petrel species off of Miami, Shearwaters, Jaegers, Booby, and Terns turned out for us making this an awesome adventure out at sea. The seas were rough but so were the birders! Another day full of great memories, thanks to all the great birders that were onboard for another great pelagic trip.

Nature is Awesome
