When I spend time up in New York, I can't help but wish the flute-like song of the Wood Thrush would play through my back yard to enjoy. Of course, that can't be possible. Or so I thought, until Mr. Mockingbird gave me an idea. One day I sat out on my porch while Mr. Mockingbird was sitting on a wire. That was when the Bird Song CD came into use. The Wood Thrush track was set on repeat outside on my porch, for a couple times a week for about 15 minutes. About 10 minutes ago, it payed off. The mockingbird had it's own verse of a Wood Thrush song. Of course it was not perfect, but for about 20 seconds, it seems like there is a thrush in my yard. He is still going on right now, occasionally adding the thrush verse in his assorted warble. Next, I think I will add a Veery song into it's vocabulary.
