I made a quick stop by Cutler Wetland this morning hoping to see a Coot for my Bird of the Day list, but was surprised to see two Gull-billed Tern. While I was waiting for them to come close enough for a good photo 4 Avocet land 50 feet in front of me.
It is always great to see something new at the wetlands...
There were also Least Tern and shorebirds flying around the area. This is the first time I have seen Gull-billed Tern at Cutler Wetland. It is also the first time I have seen more than one Gull-billed tern together.
