Today I visited Tigertail Beach on Marco Island. The only out-of-the-ordinary bird I saw was a single Black Tern, in breeding plumage. Most birds were at the far northern end of the beach. Other species seen included Reddish Egret, Black-bellied, Wilson's and Semipalmated Plover, Willet, Marbled Godwit, Ruddy Turnstone, Red Knot, Sanderling, Semipalmated and Western Sandpiper, Dunlin, Short-billed Dowitcher, Royal, Sandwich, Forster's and Least Tern, and Black Skimmer.
