Hi everyone,
This afternoon Trey, Mariel and I went over to Cape FL looking for the Acadian Flycatcher that Robin found. We arrived at the park shortly before Trey and birded the Youth Camping area but did not see much. As we were wrapping it up at the camping area Trey called that he was at the park, we met up with him at the gate that is across the street from the path to the camping area. From there we started looking for the bird, after a short while of searching we heard the Flycatcher. We looked and looked patiently awaiting the bird to come out and greet us heck maybe even pose for us to take some photos but it never came out to the open. We decided to see what else might be around and then give it another try on the way back, we walked the first portion of the trail with only a few birds. Redstarts were seen sparatically on the trail along with Cardinals, an occasional Cape May would pass thru with some Barn Swallow & Chimmney Swifts rocketing overhead. We started our way back to the spot where we heard the Flycatcher a little while before, and found the bird calling again. We spent a good amount of time awating the Acadian to make an appearance but nothing, we did heard it call about 5-6 times during the time we spent there.
Nature is Awesome
