If you're taking a trip up I-95 in east central Florida anytime soon there is a site you will be interested in. While traveling home from a business trip yesterday(Thursday)I caught a glimpse of a beautiful Bald Eagle perched beside what looked like a huge nest. I was so stunned to be seeing such a site so close to I-95 that I almost ran off the road! Would have loved to go back a watch for a while but, unfortunately,had to continue south.(Don't you just hate when your job interferes with your personal life and enjoyments!)
For those that may be headed up that way the site is about 1/4 mile or so north of exit #220,near Titusville,on the west side,southbound,side of I-95. The nest site is out in the open,easily viewable,and located in a tree just beyond the perimeter fence which borders the highway.
Don't know if the Eagle was nesting or not but it certainly was exciting to see.
