High Island, TX
Got a call from a friend in Louisiana who went birding in High Island, TX last weekend. Incredible!!!!! I don't recall the exact total # of birds, but the warblers were about 25+ species, including Blue-winged and Golden-winged in the same day. He did say they saw B-winged, G-winged, and Blackburnian in the same tree at the same time! Other warbler species were present by the hundreds. If anyone has a chance, this would be the place to go in the next couple of weeks. I probably can't make it, and I am not a guide, so I am not trying to promote the place. Just giving an FYI on what we missed down here.
