I joined two birders from Oregon, and one from NJ looking for the Mangrove Cuckoos at Dagny Johnson this morning.
In 3 hours we heard or saw none. We went over to Loquat Dr. where we heard a single call (or maybe it was a birder in the woods with a tape) but saw nothing.
I also learned that there is a small colony of nesting Wilson's Plovers at Carysfort. It is off limits, but it's good to know that there are some breeders on the East Coast.
