We found these Boblinks in a field on 217th ave on Thursday and went back today to try and get some shots of the "swarm".
There are hundreds , perhaps more, of these guys and probably 80% are in breeding plumage.
They are incredibly skittish and rise up in great waves when disturbed and then settle down and disappear into the grass.
I gave up on trying to get close for better pictures-spent time there both this morning and at sunset :(.
But it was still fun to watch them.
