Today after work we decided to give KIH a try to see what is around. The park was kind of slow but we did manage to find some birds. While we were there I remembered that Brian, Chris & Lili had recently reported Blackburian in the park. We gave Brian a call to see if he could point us in the right direction, but he thought that they would be long gone by now. We decided to walk back out of the trail when Brian told us that, and that is when on the way out of the trail we saw movemnet in the tree tops. To our surprise there it was a Blackburian Warbler, year bird is a beer bird you know. Lucky for us Brian was wrong about the bird making it north already.

Here is what was seen at KIH:
Blackburian Warbler (female)
Blackpoll Warbler
BTB Warbler
A. Redstart Warbler
Cardinal
Blue Jay
T. Vulture
and some other regulars.

On the way home we decided to go by the Bulbul spot and found two Bulbul. Awesome way to start the weekend. Hopefully tomorrow we can add Mangrove Cuckoo to our year list. That will bring us one species closer to our big year goal. Special Thanks to AMRO, Toe, Trey, PB, Carl, RJ, Larry and anyone else that has helped us this year so far with getting us to where we are now.

Nature is Awesome!
Angel & Mariel
