The Miami-Dade Parks Department is hosting a meeting to hear from parks users about what should be included in the revision to the General Plan for AD Barnes Park. It is crucial that bird and nature lovers go to the meeting and provide some feedback about the importance of the natural areas at the park, to keep these areas from being proposed for other uses. It would also be an opportunity to address other issues, like feral cats. The P&R stated purpose for the public meeting, including time and location is listed below.
Purpose: A.D. "Doug" Barnes Park General Plan Revision
Location: A.D. "Doug" Barnes Park, 3401 SW 72nd Avenue, Recreation Center
Time: Wednesday, May 7, 7 to 9 pm.
