I checked the hammock at 0830 this morning and under cloudy skies with a light N. wind observed about 10 Redstarts, 2-3 Blackpolls, Black-throated Blue, Palm, 2 Northern Parulas, a Common Yellowthroat, and almost as many Cardinals as Catbirds, but the Catbird pop. seems to be declining from what was observed last week.
The Annex had an abundance of Redstarts, a Blackpoll, 2 Cape Mays, Black-throated Blue, and a Northern Parula. Quite a few Cardinals were vocalizing along with the Catbirds. A lone Swallow-tailed Kite hung around for quite a while, making several low passes over the trees while I was there. I'll check tomorrow in the AM to see if anything new comes in.
