Can't answer the Pembroke Pines Purple Swamphen question because I haven't been there in a while. However, if you really want to see Purple Swamphens, come out to STA-5 in Hendry County on our next birding tour, scheduled for Saturday May 17th. We consistently see Purple Swamphens on every tour but they are skittish since they are being slowly eradicated.
