You said migration and the birds arrived! Yesterday on my bird count I didn't even see ONE single warbler but today was a different story.
At Green Cay from 2:30-3:30 I saw:
32 American Redstart
19 Black-throated Blue
14 Blackpoll
11 Black-and-White
4 Cape May
4 Northern Parula
3 Ovenbird
2 Prairie
1 Magnolia
1 Common Yellow-throat
1 Worm-eating
11 species for Green Cay is pretty darn good. Every habitat island was full of them and the front entrance walk in the Oak trees was one of the best spots. Best thing about these birds, they are at eye level and two feet away. I didn't even need my binoculars for most of them. Also these are conservative counts. I didn't count all of the American Redstarts, Blackpolls, Black-throated Blues because they were so plentiful.
