Ok, if you need Eastern Meadowlark you can't miss them along the first mile or so into Everglades National Park. They're are usually a few by the road on the short grassy verges, or alternatively, pull up by the side of the road and scan the saw grass prairies and you'll see them perched or flying. They're singing now.
I was pleasantly surprised by the birding at AD Barnes yesterday (our first ever visit). Ok, we (Blake and I) found a La Sagra's Flycatcher, but in addition, just seeing the warblers was unexpected, on a sunday afternoon in a very busy park. Someone please let me know where the thrushes are this spring!
