The sound the thing makes sounds more like a warble than a screech.
I waited for it tonight, relaxing in the lawn chair sipping an ultra cold cocktail (1 1/2 oz. Campari stirred into 6oz.of orange juice, frozen glass and cracked clear ice.) It made its appearance just like clockwork at 8:10 p.m.
I also had an accipiter pursuing a collared dove through the yard this morning and, two chimney swifts flying overhead just after sunset this evening.
