Finally! Saw him calling in the morning sunshine as a pair of white-crowned pigeons flew by. A week ago no sign of cuckoos here.
We paddled from Sombrero Beach to find it. Thought we saw one on trail above landing just across the channel from the park, but could not confirm it.
We then followed mangrove channel bearing to left and found it where channel narrowed significantly.
On our way north this morning.
