I stopped late this afternoon (5:00pm+) and found the place looking much better than the last time. Water levels are a little down and some nice mud flats are beginning to get exposed along the edges with the reeds. Most of the birds were seen from the north edge. While there, Wil and Jody Domke showed up, then later I met Nanette for the first time, a birder from Homestead that has been visiting the site since last year but wasn't aware of TAS. Below are some of the species seen. Those without a number were present in fair amounts.
White Pelican
Black-crowned Night Heron
Lesser Scaup (2 Females)
Blue-winged Teal
Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer
Black-necked Stilt
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Solitary Sandpiper (2)
Pectoral Sandpiper (2)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (1 for sure, there may have been others)
Least Sandpiper
Stilt Sandpiper (~6)
Long-billed Dowitcher (ID's by call)
Short-billed Dowitcher (ditto)
Lessr Black-backed Gull (3, 1 juvenile two 2nd winter)
Least Tern
