Black-hooded, Green, White-eyed Parakeets, and Yellow-naped Parrots all breed in South Florida along with at least 10 other species. The Black-hooded are found in St. Pete, St. Augustine, Boynton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and other areas of the state. Population numbers for Green and White-eyed Parakeets and Yellow-naped Parrots are low with more individuals in Broward than Miami/Dade.
