Sadowski & Matheson
We birded Matheson in search of the Yellow-billed Cuckoo and any other migrants. Unfortunately the YBCU did not make an appearance for us today it must know that it would be a year bird for us. We did see a beautiful Cape May Warbler in breeding plumage, Black-throated Blue Warbler, one American Redstart and an Ovenbird along with the usual residents.
From there we headed off to Matheson nature trail & service road area. Where we saw Black-throated Blue Warbler, Painted & Indigo Bunting, several species of Parakeets & Parrots (including a lifer Lilac-crowned Parrot, Hill Mynas, Red-bellied Woodpecker and an amazing Pileated Woodpecker in close range. Which was an awesome sight to see!
Nature is Awesome!
