I went to Lucky Hammock hoping for some new birds but didn t see much new except the old birds left and more catbirds than one person could count had arrived. I did see the Barred Owl in the annex with a young one. Also a Swallow-tailed Kite did a flyby and gave me good looks. Other than that I only saw a couple of warblers.
I went to the C-111E Canal and checked the trees there and found more catbirds and one Redstart.
I headed home and stopped at Sadowski and found a few warblers including a Swainson's and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. Sadowski had more activity today than I have seen in a long while.
Birds of interest from today:
Barred Owl
Swallow-tailed Kite
Painted Bunting
Common Yellow-throat
Prairie
Magnolia
Black and White
Redstart
Cape May
Blackpol
Ovenbird
BT Blue
Swainson's Warbler
I can't wait for spring migration to kick into gear!
