HI all,
I finally got around to participating in the TAS Birdathon this year. I decided to do a Brevard County Big Day as my contribution. I only had one day to scout after working nine days in a row. Thanks to the help of some of our local birders, I found 156 species yesterday, just one shy of the Brevard County record. The birdathon total is 158 since I can count the feral Mallard and the swarm of peacocks at our house in Indian River County. I don't know how much money will be raised. I'll get some more pledges (hopefully) at the meeting tonight. I'll try to get a story/summary out there some time this weekend.
