An injured (Red-billed) Tropicbird was found on Sunday at the Crandon Marina by Victor Penaloza, park naturalist for Crandon Park. He reported the find to me on Monday. The bird was taken to the Seabird Station @ Pelican Harbor for treatment. The bird was identified as a juvenile Red-billed Tropicbird by staff, and was diagnosis with frost-bite on its feet and significantly underweight. The last report that I got was the bird is still recovering at the Seabird Station.
