Removing the cats is not going to solve the problem at all. What needs to be done is educating the public, humans are the ones that dump those animals there and did not sterilize them. Why should the cats pay the price?

I have gone to Barnes park many times to do bird watching, and have also seen the cats, they were ear-tipped. If you see any cats that don't have an ear-tip then contact cat network or TNR the cat yourself. By doing this you will have the population controlled. Also, from some studies that were done by Operation Catnip from the University of Florida, if the animals are in a controlled colony--meaning all cats are fixed and being fed, then they impact they create in the bird population is very minimal.

So why don't we all work together instead of just assuming that killing the cats will be the best solution. Educating is the best tool!
